Saftey Tips & Information

To make sure you always get the best results from your wax melts whilst maintaining safety, please follow these simple but effective user instructions.

  • Always store wax melts in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.

  • Wax melts should only be used in appropriate wax melt burners.

  • Never leave an in-use burner unattended.

  • Only burn for 4 hours at a time or use 4 hour, unscented tealights.

  • Take your desired about of wax (1-2 teaspoons or 1 - 2 segments) and heat on top of your burner, this should scent your room for approximately 12 hours. The fragrance throw will depend on your room size, temperature of the room and amount of wax used.

  • Do not overfill your burner as this could cause it to overflow.

  • Alway maintain a clean burner but do not use metal or sharp objects to clean out wax as this may crack or damage the burner or cause injury. Do not use wipes and/or cleaning chemicals/products to clean the burner.

  • Keep away from children and animals, some may look edible, but they are not! Do not consume.

  • Cherish & Glow items are all CLP compliant. Please check packaging for allergen advise.

FAQ

FAQ

What Is a Wax Melt?

A wax melt is a scented piece of wax, similar to what you’d find in a candle jar - but without the wick! You simply warm the wax by melting it on an electric or tealight burner, to release the fragrance.

Electric or Tealight Burner?

Electric burners can be great as they are a flame-free option, some wax melt users with young children and animals favour these burners as they’re viewed as a safer alternative. Simply turn it on and your ready to go, these use a bulb to heat the wax so don't get quite as hot as a tealight burner, this meaning its gives a more subtle scent throw so your wax will last longer as the fragrance doesn't get burnt off so quick.

Tealight burners are a fab way of setting the mood with its naked flame and gives off a strong scent throw as the tealight produces a high heat to burn the fragrance. They work by lighting a 4 hour, unscented tealight and placing it under the glass or ceramic dish which holds your chosen wax.

How much wax should I use?

1-2 teaspoons or segments depending on the size of your burner and how strong you would like the scent. Some people love super strong scents, whilst others prefer a more subtle fragrance. With wax melts you can control the intensity of the fragrance by using more or less wax per burner.

How do I change my wax?

Two ways my customers and I change our wax. Please take care when doing so as the wax and burners could be hot!

  • When your wax is still in liquid form, pop 2 cotton balls into the wax to soak it up (dispose of correctly).

  • Light your burner and allow 20-30 seconds until the underside of the wax has started to softern, gently put pressure on one side of the wax which will slide the wax out of the dish.

When either of these are completed, give the dish a quick wipe round with a tissue and your ready to go again.

What glitter do you use?

We only use biodegradable, cosmetic grade glitter in all of our wax melts.

How long are delivery times?

We aim to dispatch all orders in 3 working days.

Why You Should Choose Wax Melts over Candles?

Wax melts are becoming increasingly popular and for good reason. Wax melts work out to be much more cost-effective than buying candles.

Can I mix waxes together in my burner ?

Of course! Wax melts offer the ability to be creative and experiment by combining 2 or more fragrances to create a desired scent.

There are so many possibilities!
